BEAMSVILLE WINERY GOES GEOTHERMAL
Geothermal Soultions installed the geothermal loop bed at the Tawse winery in Beamsville Ontario. The award winning winery had a geothermal system installed in a new building being completed winter of 2011.
The loop consists of 8 – 2″ supply/return lines running out from the building to the loop field. 24,000 ft of 3/4″ piping was installed as the circuit bed and over 5000 ft of 2″ was installed for the header lines.
A path of grape vines were removed to run the header lines out into an open pasture. A tight red clay in the Beamsville/St Catherines area provides excellent heat tranfer for the ground loops.
